Boy With Down Syndrome Crowned Mr. Wando
posted 3:01 pm Thu November 29, 2007 - Mount Pleasant, SC

Every now and then, someone inspires others by defying expectations, but not because of what they do, but rather because of who they are.

ABC News 4 first met Trampus Hoover four years ago when he joined the band at Wando High School.

Trampus has down syndrome, though his condition doesn’t define his life.

He spends his days just like any of the other kids at school.
He’s a gifted trumpet player, and actor.  He was even given the key to the town of Mount Pleasant.

ABC News 4 myTAKE - What's Your Opinion?Wednesday night, Trampus surpassed yet another milestone in his young life, as he was crowned Mister Wando High school.
