A
three-time Emmy award winning Sports Anchor and play-by-play announcer with over
30 years of television experience, John began his career at WPTZ-TV in
Plattsburgh, New York.
His broadcasting
career has taken him to WCJB-TV in Gainesville, Florida, WYOU-TV in Scranton,
Pennsylvania and WTSP-TV in Tampa, Florida.
While in Tampa,
John covered Super Bowl XXVII in San Diego, where the Buccaneers defeated the
Oakland Raiders, and the Stanley Cup finals as the Tampa Bay Lightning won
the Stanley Cup in a dramatic seven game series win over the Calgary
Flames.
Over the course of
his career he has interviewed some of the biggest names in
sports.
Known for getting
involved in the community, John has helped raise thousands of dollars for the
United Way, Easter Seals, the American Cancer Society, and Habitat for
Humanity.
A
father of four, John loves life in the Lowcountry. In his spare time, he enjoys
being with his family and hanging out by the beach.
