Although he hails from Long Island, New York, he considers the Palmetto State home, where his career has never taken him off Interstate 26.

After graduating from the University of South Carolina, Scott landed his first job in the sports department at WYFF-TV in Greenville/Spartanburg, where he covered Clemson and USC, traveled with the Carolina Panthers all the way to Seattle, Washington, for the NFC Championship game, and shot many great upstate high school football games.

Next stop on I-26, Scott joined WOLO, in Columbia, as the weekend sports anchor. While in Columbia, Scott traveled extensively with the University of South Carolina and covered The Masters for a full seven days.

In May of 2007, Scott got the call he had dreamed of, and moved further down I-26 to ABC News 4, where he had spent two full summers as a college intern in our sports department.

Since then, Scott has won two second place awards from the Associated press (2008 and 2010), won the City Paper's Best Sportscaster Award in 2011, covered major sporting events including the PGA Championship and seven Bowl games.

One of his greatest accomplishments, however, came in 2008 when Scott met his future wife, Cally. They married in 2011.

In his free time Scott loves to travel, attend live sporting events, and listen to country music. Living in the Lowcountry, he hopes to lower his golf score to double digits and possibly reel in a few fish. Feel free to contact him with feature story ideas, or just to say hi.
