Food Prices Going Up

Your next trip to the grocery store is going to require a little more cash.

Food prices are going-up. In February prices rose nearly 4%. That's the biggest single-month jump since 1974!

Many experts blame the increase on the snowy winter that blasted most of the nation. Hard freezes in Florida are taking a toll. That's where a lot of our produce is grown.

Rising fuel costs also make it more expensive to ship food.  Some Americans are planting gardens this year to help with their food bills.
