CHARLESTON, S.C. -- Sources say the man accused of killing Kate Waring, Ethan Mack is expected to plead on Friday morning.

Mack was charged with murder, accused of killing the woman in June 2009. A nearly 12-day trial ended in a hung jury last October.

We're told two jurors held out on a guilty verdict. Since then, the woman investigators also charged with Waring's murder, Heather Kamp, pled guilty but mentally unstable earlier this month. She has yet to be sentenced.

Kamp was the star witness during Mack's trial and she was expected to testify again against Mack.

Waring went missing in June of 2009. Her parents Thomas and Janice Waring reported her missing to the Charleston Police Department. Police knew she was Downtown and the original police report even names Ethan Mack and Heather Kamp. The two were later arrested in connection to her disappearance.

The Waring family hired private investigators who found Waring's remains in October of 2009. One of the private investigators found her skeletal remains in a wooded area on Wadmalaw Island.

Mack and Kamp were romantically involved during the murder and were introduced to each other by Kate Waring. Ethan Mack is currently serving a 15 year sentence after he was convicted of obstruction of justice, accused of lying to police in the investigation, and forgery, for forging a check from Waring's account.
