How hot will it get?

Posted: Updated:

It's been a hot start to June so far! How hot do you think it will be this summer?

The average high for this time of year is 88 degrees, and so far this month daytime high temperatures have all been above 90 degrees! On average, there are 12.7 days in June where high temperatures are above 90 degrees and 0.2 days in June where high temperatures are above 100 degrees.

On average there are 71.7 days each year where the Tulsa metro area experiences temperatures above 90 degrees. Most of those 71.7 days are in July (23.8 days) and August (22.4 days). Also, there are 11.4 days on average where we experience temperatures above 100 degrees, and most of those days are once again in July (4.7 days) and August (5.5 days).

So, since we have had a hot start to June, do you think we will continue to have a hot summer? How many days this summer do you think we will have temperatures above 100 degrees?
