Cowabunga, Charleston! Paddle out to The Washout at Folly Beach Saturday, June 18 and Sunday, June 19 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. for the 2011 Wahine Classic. Cheer on our local girls ages 12 and older as they hang ten on their short boards, long boards and body boards, or if it's more your style, join the competition for $35. This year's proceeds benefit Surfer's Healing, a non-profit group that hosts a day long camp at the beach for autistic children and their families. They will hold a camp on Folly Beach in early August.
