JAMES ISLAND, S.C. (WCIV) -- When you think about the color of a fire truck, you may think red.  But after tomorrow, you may think differently.

A 1987 pink fire truck will roll through the Lowcountry Wednesday afternoon.

The James Island Public Service District's fire department donated the fire truck to Pink Heels Guardians of the Ribbon. Guardians of the Ribbon is a group of firefighters, police officers and community leaders devoted to leading cancer awareness and inspiring men to support the women of their community.

A dedication ceremony, led by Senior Commissioner Eugene Platt, will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m., at 1739 Signal Point Road.

Guardians of the Ribbon drives pink fire trucks across the U.S. in support of women fighting against cancer.
