Posted: Updated:

Win number two on the season was within reach for the Tulsa Shock.

Up nine with just over seven minutes left in the game, Tulsa look destined to snap its league-worst seven game losing streak.

Then the Sparks began to play ball - and the Shock were in trouble.

L. A. goes on a 18-3 run over the final 6:39 of the game to hand Tulsa it's eighth-straight loss, 79-74.

Kristi Toliver scored a game-high 25 for the Sparks, who were playing without injured star Candace Parker.

Andrea Riley lead the Shock in defeat with 15 points.

Tulsa hits the road again for its next game on Sunday, against the New York Liberty.  Tip-off is set for 3pm CST.
