Shock Lose 9th In A Row

Posted: Updated:

For the ninth straight game, the Tulsa Shock could not keep up with its competition.

Down by just nine at halftime, the Shock could not keep pace with the New York Liberty over the final three quarters, losing by 31 points, 88-57.

Cappie Pondexter lead the Liberty with 18 points.  Teammate Essence Carson added 17 points of her own.

Tulsa was lead by Tiffany Jackson's double-double: 17 points and 11 rebounds.  Rookie Elizabeth Cambage added 11 points, but the 6'8" center would grab only one rebound.

Thanks to the WNBA All-Star Game, the Shock now have nine days off before they take the court again on July 26th.

They will host the Atlanta Dream at the BOK Center.  Tipoff is at 7pm.
