Bond denied for men accused of shooting at deputies

COLLETON, S.C. (WCIV) -- Bond was denied on Monday for two men charged with attempted murder following a chase that began on I-95 in Dorchester County and ended in Colleton.

Maurio Rivers, 34, and Bronson Shelley were both charged with attempted murder after deputies say several gunshots were fired from the moon roof of a vehicle during a chase.

Officers were not injured by gunfire, but one of the deputy cruisers did catch several bullets.

Investigators say the car occupied by the suspects was eventually knocked of the road. The two suspects reportedly jumped from the car and ran into a wooded area.

They were later arrested after being tracked by a K-9 unit.
