GOOSE CREEK, S.C. (WCIV) -- Investigators with multiple law enforcement agencies say a woman arrested in the bust of a shoplifting ring on Wednesday was not just involved -- they believe she was the ring leader.

Berkeley County Sheriff's Office spokesman Dan Moon said a confidential informant was a big part of the case, helping investigators collect information that really sent things into motion.

Felicia Sanders Smith was arrested on Wednesday afternoon and charged with receiving/possession of stolen goods. Officials said she is the daughter of the owner of Mr. Flap's Pawn Shop.

Mr. Flap's Pawn Shop was the center of the investigation on Wednesday as officers combed through inventory and say they confiscated more than $100,000 worth of stolen goods. But, it was reported shoplifting in Mount Pleasant that opened the investigation.

Investigators believe Smith gave several people lists of items she wanted, the items were stolen and then sold in Mr. Flap's or on Ebay. Moon said most of the items confiscated were still in the original packaging and unopened.

Moon said there were at least six people involved in the scheme that reached as far as Georgia and North Carolina. He said more arrests are expected.
