Drillers Lose 2nd Straight

The Tulsa Drillers lose their second straight to the Arkansas Travelers Monday night at ONEOK Field in Tulsa 5-2.  Tulsa pitcher Cory Riordan takes his 10th loss of the year and 1-10 on the season.

The Drillers took an early 1-0 lead when Tim Wheeler homers (29) on a fly ball to right field.

The Travelers tied it up two innings later on a home run from Roberto Lopez homers (4) in the fifth.

Tulsa regains the lead in the bottom on the fifth when Brian Rike singled to left fielder scoring Hector Gomez.

But Arkansas rallied with two runs in the sixth and one in the eighth and ninth innings.

Tulsa travels to Northwest Arkansas to begin a three-game series with the Naturals on Tuesday.

The Drillers return to Tulsa on August the 2nd.
