Dan Carrigan joined the abc27 News team in June 2011. He is the very first reporter assigned to the Hershey area. He admits that it is a pretty sweet gig, and he is very happy to be back in the midstate.
A Lancaster native, Dan graduated from Manheim Township High School in 2005. He then attended college at Kutztown University where he graduated with a bachelor of arts degree in speech communication and a minor in public relations. This is where Dan anchored student TV and web broadcasts.
He graduated from Kutztown in 2009 and then packed his bags to work as a reporter at an independent station in Hazleton, Pa. He then moved on to NBC40 in Atlantic City, New Jersey. He worked as a reporter at TV-40 for nearly two years before joining abc27.
Dan admits, "I love covering news, telling stories, and giving people the accurate information they need to know. To do this where I grew up is something really special."
Dan enjoys running, and spending time with his family. They still live in Lititz! He is a sports fan, and enjoys cheering on the Philadelphia Phillies, Eagles, Flyers, and 76ers.
