The president remembers Steve Jobs

Posted: Updated:

WASHINGTON, D.C. (AP) -- President Barack Obama remembers Apple co-founder Steve Jobs as one American's greatest innovators.

The presidents issued a statement late Wednesday saying Jobs was brave enough to think differently, bold enough to believe he could change the world, and talented enough to do it.

He said Jobs exemplified the spirit of American ingenuity.

The man behind the iPod and iPhone as well as the personal computer and the iPad  died of cancer Wednesday at age 56.
