Meet the woman behind the Elvis kiss

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) – Have you ever seen the iconic picture of Elvis and "the woman"?  Its the black and white photo of him kissing a mystery woman in the stairwell?  

Well that woman's name is Barbara Gray and the local woman is telling the story of kissing the rock and roll legend to all!  Walter LeCroy, owner of Imaging Arts and Rock and Read Books has announced the opening of a very special exhibit, highlighting that photo of Gray.  Its called Elvis Mystery Kiss: From Charleston With Love and will feature a number of photographs taken from Alfred Wertheimer's portfolio of Elvis's kiss with Gray.  Gray will be on hand to sign prints of the iconic photo for those that come through the shop.  

The prints will be packaged in a deluxe slip-case with a hardcover first edition of Baby Lets Play House: Elvis Presley and the Women Who Loved Him by Alanna Nash.  Nash is the journalist who solved the 55-year old photographic mystery and will be present for the book signings.  A limited number of signed books and prints are available for purchase.
