MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. (WCIV) -- You may have heard the rumors. The USS Yorktown is haunted --  well, at least through Halloween.

"We've always suspected perhaps the Yorktown was haunted and come to find out that Blackbeard's ghost and his pirate crew as well as the Hog Island pirates have found a home on the Yorktown," Mac Burdette, Executive Director of Patriots Point said.

Guests aboard the ship will be guided along the twisting passages of the carrier. The ghost walk is called "The Curse of Blackbeard's Skull."

Parents should 13 great scenes on the tour, all of which are said to be scary. Kids 11 and younger must be accompanied by an adult.

This is the first time such tours have been held on the ship.
