CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- Monday was moving day at the South Carolina Aquarium for three Bonnethead sharks.

The sharks were moved from a holding tank in the back of the Aquarium to the Great Ocean Tank out front for all visitors to see.

In order to move them, the sharks were put stretchers that were made especially for marine creatures. The sharks were only out of water for less than 20 seconds.

"Bonnethead sharks are a very common coastal species that we have not been able to show for a few years," South Carolina Aquarium Senior Biologist, Arnold Postell said.

The 3-foot sharks came from the aquarium in Georgia.

They are said to be relatively young, and will join up to 400 other species of marine life in the new tank.
