CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV)-- The mother of an abuse victim of Louis "Skip" ReVille is filing suit against the Citadel saying the school was "grossly negligent" in not reporting Reville's 2002 abuse allegations.

According to a release by her lawyers, the mother says her son was sexually abused by ReVille on numerous occasions over a time span of more than a year between 2007 and 2008.

A lawsuit will be filed on the family's behalf on Wednesday. The complaint names The Citadel as the sole defendant, and claims the college was grossly negligent in not reporting knowledge of previous abuse by ReVille, and thus, allowed her son to be sexually assaulted.

The Citadel has said that they will not comment on pending litigation.

ABC News 4 will be following the details of this story and will update with more information as it becomes available.
