Body found on rail tracks in Lincolnville identified

LINCOLNVILLE, S.C. (WCIV) -- A body found at a private railroad crossing off Lincolnville Road on Tuesday morning has been identified.

Officials with the Charleston County Coroner's Office say the body is that of 25-year-old Marquis Richardson was shot in the head. His last known address was in Johns Island.

Forensic investigators with the Charleston County Sheriff's Office worked the crime scene on Tuesday morning. Investigators say the call came at about 7 a.m. of a body found on the railroad tracks.

The scene is about a half mile from where Lincolnville Road intersects with Von Oshen.

Investigators say there are no suspects at the current time and they are currently unaware of a motive. The say it does not appear to be a suicide.
