NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- An early morning fire has gutted a North Charleston Home.

Emergency crews arrived at the home on Buist Avenue home around 2:45 Wednesday morning. Reports suggest flames at times were nearly 30 feet tall and shooting through the roof of the home.

No one was inside of the home at the time and no injuries were reported. It took nearly an hour to bring the fire under control.

ABC News 4 spoke with the homeowner. She says the house is undergoing renovations and the family has been staying nearby with friends.

She says a neighbor noticed the fire and immediately called her and alerted authorities.

The home, near Park Circle, sustained major fire and water damage. A car parked nearby was also badly damaged by fire.

A cause of the fire has not yet been released, stay with ABC News 4 throughout the day for more updates.
