Motorcycle accident sends rider to the hospital

WADMALAW ISLAND, S.C. (WCIV)-- The South Carolina Highway Patrol responded to a motorcycle accident on Bears Bluff Road Wednesday evening.

The accident happened around 7:45pm when a pickup truck hit a motorcycle.

The motorcyclist was turning into a church parking lot when the pickup truck hit the bike on its right rear quarter panel. The rider was sent to MUSC with serious but non-life threatening injuries. He was wearing his helmet.
