WALTERBORO, S.C. (WCIV)-- For the past few weeks, the Colleton County Sheriff's Crime Suppression Unit has been investigating a possible meth lab and their efforts have finally paid off.
A working meth lab was found at 3460 Sidneys Road, Walterboro -- about 11 miles out of the city limits. Seven people were arrested on Tuesday, Feb 7 at the address, the home of Thomas Greer McMillan.
39-year-old McMillan, 43-year-old Charles Benjamin Mangum, 44-year-old Edgar Lyons (all from Walterboro), 23-year-old Michael Vogt, and 22-year-old Christina Marie Epley (both from Round O) are all charged with manufacturing and possessing drugs near a school, criminal conspiracy, and manufacturing and possessing other substances near a school.
Both Oak Grove and Maple Cane schools are near McMillan's home where the meth lab was found.
31-year-old Jamie Leigh Crosby of Walterboro is charged with manufacturing and conspiracy as well as disposal of methamphetamine waste.
29-year-old John Lucas Craven of Walterboro is charged with possession of less than a gram of meth, manufacturing and distribution of meth, and conspiracy.
Members from the DEA Task Force and SLED responded to help with the search and disposal of the meth lab.
