The man who led deputies on a dangerous, high speed chase appeared before a judge Tuesday in North Charleston. Timothy McManus, 31, led deputies through the Francis Marion forest and was shot at by Charleston County Sheriff, Al Cannon.More >>
CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- The man arrested at the end of the high speed chase through Mount Pleasant has filed a petition.
It's a petition to have his bond reduced.
Timothy McManus is still in jail with a bond amount more than $100,000. He is charged with failure to stop for blue light (first offense) and resisting arrest.
The incident involving McManus has garnered a whole lot of attention after Charleston sheriff Al Cannon admitted to slapping him in the back of a police car and video surfaced that showed officers hitting McManus.
