Sullivan's Island holds annual oyster roast

SULLIVAN'S ISLAND (WCIV) -- The Sullivan's Island Fire and Rescue Department is holding its all-you-can-eat "Under the Big Tin" Oyster Roast today, on Middle Street by the station.

The event, which includes all you can eat oysters, hot dogs, and fish stew, will be held from 5-8 p.m., rain or shine. Be sure to bring your own knife for shuckin'. There will also be t-shirts, a live band, and a jump castle for the kiddos.

Tickets are $30 and can be purchased at the fire station, Town Hall, the Piggly Wiggly at the Sea Island Shopping Center, Simmons Seafood, and Exit Realty.

All proceeds go to support the Sullivan's Island Rescue Squad and volunteers.
