NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV)-- North Charleston Police have released the 911 tapes from calls that came in during the huge apartment fire that happened on Buist Avenue Friday.
The tapes reflect the panic and frustration felt by residents on the scene, much of which was taken out on 911 operators.
The fire broke out Friday afternoon at Noisette Apartments. Two children and their mother were injured in the blaze and seven families were displaced.
One neighbor, Reginald Curry, saved an infant by catching him after his mother tossed him from the window. Witnesses say after the mother tossed Curry the baby, she herself jumped out of the window of the second-floor apartment.
