NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- North Charleston police shut down a portion of Rivers Avenue overnight while officers investigated a suspicious package.

Authorities responded to High Rise Sports Grill at 4118 Rivers Avenue just after 12:30 a.m. Thursday in reference to a Bomb Threat.

Public information officer Spencer Pryor says dispatchers received a 911 call stating someone had placed a bomb hear the rear door of the business.

High Rise Sports Grill employees requested patrons exit the business, and officers shut down a portion of the street.

Charleston County sheriff's deputies and a bomb-sniffing dog was brought in to investigate and determined no explosive devices were located.

Upon clearing the building, officers re-opened Rivers Avenue a short time later.
