HUGER, S.C. (WCIV) -- The search resumed today for Dara Lee Watson.

Officials with the Charleston County Sheriff's Office are searching in the area of United Drive. United Drive intersects Highway 41 and Halfway Creek Road in the Francis Marion National Forest.

Investigators with multiple law enforcement and emergency response agencies have been searching areas in the national forest since Saturday for clues in the case. Wednesday's search efforts included bulldozers, search dogs and a helicopter.

Also on Wednesday, investigators confirmed they recovered a shovel from where the search for Watson began on Saturday. Charleston County Sheriff's Office spokesman Maj. James Brady said the shovel is being tested for prints and DNA.

At a Tuesday press conference, officials said they believe Watson's fiance, David Lee Hedrick was involved in her disappearance. They say Hedrick was spotted in the area where the shovel and Watson's burnt SUV were discovered. Mount Pleasant Police Chief Harry Sewell said the witness "positively identified" Hedrick and said he was walking out of the woods with a shovel in his hand.

Watson was officially reported missing on Friday. Hedrick was found dead on Friday, of what authorities have described as a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
