MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. (WCIV) -- Divers spent most of the afternoon Thursday searching small ponds next to David Hedrick's Rivertowne home.

Members of the Charleston County Sheriff's Office dive team swam laps around the ponds, searching for clues in the case of missing woman, Dara Lee Watson, Hedrick's fiancé.

Dive leaders drew diagrams of the ponds and could be seen walking along the marsh pointing. Investigators with Mount Pleasant say they recovered Watson's cell phone.

Later, police investigators entered Hedrick's home, located on North Creek Drive.

Investigators with multiple law enforcement and emergency response agencies have been searching areas in the national forest since Saturday for clues in the case. Wednesday's search efforts included bulldozers, search dogs and a helicopter.

On Wednesday, investigators confirmed they recovered a shovel from where the search for Watson began on Saturday. Charleston County Sheriff's Office spokesman Maj. James Brady said the shovel is being tested for prints and DNA.

At a Tuesday press conference, officials said they believe Watson's fiancé, David Lee Hedrick was involved in her disappearance. They say Hedrick was spotted in the area where the shovel and Watson's burnt SUV were discovered. Mount Pleasant Police Chief Harry Sewell said the witness "positively identified" Hedrick and said he was walking out of the woods with a shovel in his hand.

Watson was officially reported missing on Friday. Hedrick was found dead on Friday, of what authorities have described as a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
