Can Kevi Luper Score 3000 Career Points?

Posted: Updated:

Kevi Luper and the ORU women cruise to a 26 point victory on the road tonight over Oakland.  The Golden Eagles win 77-51.

Luper finished with a game-high 27 points.

The Golden Eagles wrap up the regular season Saturday at Southern Utah.

Kevi Luper continues to add to her ORU career scoring record with every game.

Her 27 points tonight gives her 2,233 points for her career.
Now that the Adair, OK native is tops in Oral Roberts history.  I wondered how does she stand when it comes to the all-time greats.

Oklahoma State's Andrea Riley leads the Cowgirls with 2,835-points.

Courtney Paris is the Sooners all-time great with 2,729-points.

Barring injury she should blow away those two and become just the eighth woman to score 3000-points in her career.

The all-time leader is Missouri State's Jackie Stiles with 3,393.  Kevi's over a thousand from Jackie. So reaching her maybe asking too much.

The most Kevi has scored in a season so far was last years 806 points.

She still has several games to play this season so I think she's got a great chance to get into that top two or three.

Here's a look at the seven women to score 3000 points in their careers and how much Kevi has to score to catch them.

1. Jackie Stiles                3,393      -1,160
2. Patricia Hoskins           3,122        -889
3. Lorri Bauman              3,115        -882
4. Maya Moore                3,036       -803
5. Chamique Holdsclaw    3,025       -792
6. Cheryl Miller                 3,018        -785
7. Cindy Blodgett             3,005        -772

* KEVI LUPER      2,233
