File Photo (WCIV)CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV)-- Regular registration for The Cooper River Bridge Run has sold out but
you can run the bridge for free if you volunteer with Susan G. Komen Lowcountry.
Volunteers are needed to run the "Corral Start" and water stations. As of 5 p.m. on Tuesday
only half the volunteers needed had signed on.
Volunteers get a free t-shirt and the opportunity to run or walk the bridge for free once the
race participants have passed.
Susan G. Komen Lowcountry says they are looking for volunteers with leadership skills that can
"take charge." You also need to be over the age of 18.
Charity bibs are also still available for $150. Proceeds go to 12 charity organizations
affiliated with the bridge run.
