CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- Former Berkeley High Standout Bruce Ellington is reconsidering his decision to leave the USC football team.
The news was confirmed to Sports4 by former Berkeley HS football coach Dr. Jerry Brown. Brown says Ellington was having second thoughts about announcing the announcement made last week that he'd only play basketball for South Carolina in the future.
That announcement was made one day before Darrin Horn's firing as USC's Head Basketball coach. Brown says the firing didn't play a part in Ellington's reconsideration.
Brown says Ellington met with Steve Spurrier Jr. about his new idea on Saturday, and right now Ellington's name is on the South Carolina Spring Football roster.
