CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV)-- The College of Charleston Campus will be flourishing with colored clothing and ethnic foods on March 29, as the annual World Culture Fair kicks off.
The event is hosted by the School of Languages, Cultures and World Affairs and will take place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Stern Center Garden.
Hundreds of people are expected to share in the food and festivities as they take a trip around the world without leaving the campus. Each hour will feature a different culture starting with South America at 11 a.m.
There will be belly dancers, an African dance group and a Chinese dragon dance, along with other entertainment.
The goal is to help students develop an understanding of other societies and help us develop the kind of society in which we would like to live.
