NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV)-- The Charleston County Sheriff's Office has arrested the man who was sought by police for most of the day Thursday.

Around 6:40 p.m., deputies got a tip that Joshua Ainsworth may be at the Walmart on Centre Pointe Drive in North Charleston.

They went to the department store near Tanger Outlets and Ainsworth was taken into custody without incident.

Ainsworth had several warrants for his arrest from Horry County and Georgia. When he was thought to be at the Palms hotel in Isle of Palms, a standoff ensued but Ainsworth evaded capture.

He is now at the Sheriff Al Cannon Detention Center and will be held for Horry County authorities for outstanding warrants.
