CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- Officials with the Charleston Police Department say a 23-year-old College of Charleston student fell to his death from a roof early on Sunday morning.

According to an incident report, 23-year-old Spencer Pitts was found lying horizontally in front of a three story condo on Corinne Street at about 3:30 a.m.

Pitts was rushed to MUSC where he was later pronounced dead.

Investigators say Pitts was on the roof with some friends when he fell. They do not suspect foul play.

A spokesman with the College of Charleston said friends and family members are planning a memorial event for later in April. Details of the event are not yet available.
