CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV)-- A City of Charleston employee was arrested on embezzlement charges Wednesday.

According to Charleston police, 29-year-old Antonio Leroy Rutledge of North Charleston was working with the City of Charleston Building Inspection Division.

He is accused of embezzling about $4,000 from the city for his personal use over a span of three months.

Rutledge was given a $25,000 surety bond in court on Thursday.
