MONCKS CORNER, S.C. (WCIV) – The man accused of murdering an Indonesian woman this weekend shed tears as he faced a bond court judge, with the victim's family present in the courtroom.

28-year-old Tyler Brown-Kelly faced a Berkeley County judge, who denied him bond Monday morning.

An Indonesian Consulate from New York represented the family of 31-year-old Luh Endang Susiani.

"We ask the body be sent to Indonesia as soon as possible," he said. "Secondly, the family asks the court to punish the suspect according to the laws and jurisdiction of the state."

The judge explained it was the coroner's decision when to release the body.

Berkeley County Coroner, Bill Salisbury, was present and replied, "We are prepared to work with the family."

The judge also explained this could be a lengthy process and Kelly is innocent until proven guilty.

Susiani's body was discovered near the Jedburg exit of I-26 about 3 a.m. Saturday.

According to her fiancé police account, they were leaving Maytag Laundry, located at 5633 Dorchester Road Friday before midnight, when Kelly approached them with a pistol, got in their car and demanded Susiani go with him.

Authorities say Susiani was shot in the head and back.

Kelly was found a short time later at a St. George club.

Kelly will remain at the Berkeley County Detention Center. A higher court judge will hear the case June 8th.
