Rockies' De La Rosa Blasted In Tulsa Rehab Start

TULSA, Okla. -

Colorado Rockies pitcher Jorge De La Rosa was removed just 1 inning into his rehab start with Double-A Tulsa Saturday evening at OneOK Field.

De La Rosa said he was experiencing soreness in his (left) throwing forearm which may have factored into giving up 4 runs on 5 hits in the first inning against the Arkansas Travelers.

De La Rosa is recovering from Tommy John surgery last year and previously made two starts with Class A Modesto.

While De La Rosa put the Drillers in a hole, Tulsa rallied from a 5-2 deficit by scoring 4 runs in the bottom of the ninth inning.

With the winning run on third base, Travelers pitcher Chris Scholl threw a wild pitch, thus allowing Ben Paulsen to reach home safely with a 6-5 walkoff win.

The Drillers will try to take three out of the four games from Arkansas tomorrow afternoon at 2:05 p.m.
