LADSON, S.C. (WCIV)-- Just 15 days after crossing guard Natalie Bowles was hit by a teen driver in front of Sangaree Elementary, another accident has the highway patrol in front of the school.
According to the SCHP, the accident happened around 7:20 a.m. on Thursday in a parking lot on Royle Road near the bus loop.
No injuries are reported.
Since the accident involving the crossing guard on May 9, Berkeley County deputies were called in to help monitor the
intersection of Royle Road and Schoolhouse Lane until the end of the school year.
Officials are working to have at least a temporary remedy
in place by the fall.
School leaders are considering widening the exits to the Sangaree schools or
even adding a lane to Schoolhouse Lane, if they do not get a traffic light.
