CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV)—Attention! Cadets at the Citadel could soon be paying more.
The Military Institute of South Carolina's finance committee voted to increase tuition by three-percent for in-state cadets and six-percent for out-of-state cadets.
The committee says the school needs to pay for state mandated employee pay increases, scholarships and the Citadel's strategic plan.
The Board of Visitors still needs to approve the measure.
