CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- Nearly two years after authorities say Konnie Glidden confessed to being involved in a cold case murder investigation, her attorney asked for her statements to be thrown out.

Konnie Glidden appeared in court today, but her attorney was almost an hour and a half late.

Glidden's attorney, Kate Landess, managed to question one witness, but was so unprepared the judge halted proceedings and warned the defense attorney that she could face jail time of her own for her unprofessionalism.

After a recess, the judge postponed the hearing so that the defense could get their case in order.

Back in 2010, Glidden, Thomas Solheim, Douglas Emery, and Charles Welty were all charged in the 1992 murder of James Horton.

Horton, a young sailor, was found bound, beaten, shot and raped in a Summerville ditch. Prosecutors believe he was killed after witnessing two of the suspects having sex. According to court documents, Horton was kidnapped in North Charleston, taken to Glidden's home, abused and sexually assaulted by all four suspects.

Glidden's attorney asked for those authorities involved with getting Glidden's confession to be questioned. Landess says they include special agent Stanley Garland and special agent Kaylin Dueker from NCIS, and Berkeley County Sheriff's Office detective Cheryl Ramsey.

Glidden, along with the other suspects in the case are being charged with kidnapping, criminal sexual conduct in Charleston County and murder in Berkeley County.

Last year, Glidden was released on a $20,000 bond on all three charges from the Berkeley County detention center.
