CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) --Can't afford a breast screening or simply haven't had the time? No excuses, Bon Secours St. Francis Hospital is making it easy.

Women and men 20-years-old and older are invited for free breast scanner screenings Thursday June 28 from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the hospital's ambulatory surgery unit.

Breast cancer is the most common non-skin cancer among women in the United States. Cure rates are very high when diagnosed early. That's why screenings and early detection are so important.

The free screenings are supported in part by the Lowcountry affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

To make an appointment, just call (843) 402-CARE (2273).
