BELLEFONTE, Pa. (WHTM) -
The mother who triggered the investigation that produced charges against Jerry Sandusky threatened that she would "own his house," according to former neighbor who testified in the ex-coach's defense.
The neighbor told jurors Tuesday that the mother came to him one night and told him her son had been "touched by Jerry Sandusky."
He said the mother told him that "when all this settles out," she would have "a nice big house in the country
and the dogs can run free."
He said the accuser, referred to by prosecutors as Victim 1, remarked that, "When this is over, I'll have a nice new Jeep."
Sandusky's lawyers are attempting to show that the accusers are making sexual abuse allegations for financial gain.
The accuser says Sandusky fondled him and performed oral sex on him multiple
times, in his home and State College hotels. The former assistant football coach was barred from the boy's high
school in 2009 after the boy's mother alerted school officials.
The accuser's mother testified that she retained an attorney to keep the press away from her family, her job, and her children's schools, but she said she has not paid him any money.
