PHILADELPHIA (AP) - A man with a civil lawsuit pending against Jerry Sandusky is speaking out while the sequestered jury deliberates in the ex-Penn State coach's criminal trial.
Travis Weaver charges in his lawsuit that Sandusky sexually assaulted him more than 100 times from 1992 to 1996, starting at age 10. He says he was abused on campus, at Sandusky's home, and on a trip to the Rose Bowl in California.
Weaver is named as John Doe in his civil suit, but his lawyer, Jeff Anderson, says he is ready to disclose his name.
The 30-year-old Weaver is a former participant in Sandusky's children's charity, The Second Mile. He plans to appear Thursday on the NBC's "Rock Center with Brian Williams."
Anderson said Weaver came forward with the complaint after Sandusky was charged.
