Happy 75th Birthday Krispy Kreme!

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) - Today is the 75th anniversary of the classic glazed donut.  Happy birthday Krispy Kreme.

Krispy Kreme started on July 13, 1937 in North Carolina.  Today you can find the glazed donuts in 21 countries, nearly 700 shops, and 10,000 merchants and grocery stores around the world.

The company is celebrating the birthday with deals for customers.

The Krispy Kreme website says a dozen glazed donuts is just 75 cents if you purchase the first dozen.
