
CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- To help consumers keep up with the latest in technology innovations, Verizon Wireless has announced it will host free wireless workshops in the Charleston area.
Verizon provides basic and advanced level sessions that cover an array of topics for customers who are just purchasing their first smartphone, switching devices or desiring to know more about key features and capabilities.
Smartphones offer so many features that make life simpler, like helping us navigate, plan meals, save money, capture memories, and keep up with our favorite sports teams on the go, said Jerry Fountain, president for Verizon Wireless Carolinas/Tennessee region. Many of our customers have purchased smartphones but still feel like they have a lot to learn. Our workshops are designed to help them maximize their investment and enjoy the benefits of being a smartphone-owner.
The workshops are lead by specially trained data experts provide personalized, hands- on training to ensure customers know how to use each device to their advantage. In addition to the in-store workshops, the company offers informative, easy to follow workshops online in English, as well as some in Spanish.
Those interested do not have to be Verizon customers to participate.
