(John Gaddy/WCIV)CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- Folks on King Street in Downtown Charleston are getting an up close and quite personal look at a man and woman in their birthday suits downtown.
The Tom Ford advertisement is outside of the COS Cosmetics Bar on King Street. It features a man and a woman splashing each other, completely nude with their bottoms exposed.
City officials say they have only received one complaint about the sign so far. But some passers by are offended by the ad saying King Street should be more family-friendly.
One passerby says the ad is a little too much. "It's not something you want to look at. Why do you need to portray that to get people to buy the products?"
The store manager and a sales associate we talked to say they have heard nothing but positive things about the risque poster.
COS Bar sales associate Barbara Hayre said, "People come up and take pictures of themselves in front of the poster. We get a lot of laughs, a lot of interest... people staring, but we haven't gotten anything negative."
Evangelist Franklin Graham prayed on a sidewalk outside the Pentagon Thursday after his invitation to a prayer service inside was withdrawn because of comments that insulted people of other religions. More>>
