CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) – The Lowcountry Food Bank has partnered with Sunoco in an effort to caffeinate Charleston.

"Lowcountry Blend" is a specialty coffee roast named and chosen by the community and is now available in Sunoco's 26 APlus convenience store locations throughout Charleston.

Ahead of the blend release, Sunoco hosted a coffee tasting event at the Lowcountry Food Bank and invited the community to sample various roasts. Each guest cast a vote for their favorite blend and name that best characterized the region

Lowcounty Blend is described as "a medium body mix of Costa Rican, Guatemalan, Mexican and Honduran coffees with an enticing mix of bright, slightly nutty flavors."

For every cup purchased at a participating store, Sunoco donates a cup to the Lowcountry Food Bank.
