GOOSE CREEK, S.C. (WCIV) -- Police are investigating a robbery that happened at the
Goose Creek Radio Shack on Saint James Avenue Saturday.
A spokesperson with the Goose Creek police says 21-year-old Arriel Lucille Sanders was
arrested Sunday and charged with two counts of kidnapping and one count of armed robbery
with a deadly weapon.
According to police reports, police responded to an armed robbery call around 9 p.m.
Saturday night.
Witnesses said employees were approached at the door by "two black males
with hoodies on their heads."
One of the victims told police she was then "face to face with a black male wearing a
pair of pajama bottoms, white shirt, green hoodie and glasses."
According to the report,
the man pushed one of the victims into the back room and told her not to move and that
he had a gun.
The report says the suspect then "forced Arriel Lucille Sanders to open the cages and
remove the product from the cages."
The victim said the suspects told them all to get on the ground and not move, which they
did.
On the way to the crime scene, investigators say they saw a "dark colored small four
door vehicle, driving the opposite direction from the incident location. The vehicle had
its headlights off and was weaving in and out of traffic."
According to reports that vehicle was later found and identified as belonging to a
family member of Arriel Sanders. When police tried to stop the car, which they say was occupied by two young black males, the suspects took off on foot and got away.
Police have issued an arrest warrant for 22-year-old Kireem Jamie McCoy in connection
with the robbery. He is also charged with two counts of kidnapping and one count of
armed robbery with a deadly weapon.
Investigators say they have good leads and are working to identify a third suspect.
