Walterboro man shot in Saturday drive-by

WALTERBORO, S.C. (WCIV) - Walterboro Public Safety says a man was shot in the leg by a drive-by shooter on Witsell Street in Walterboro Saturday night.

According to the police report, the victim was drinking with friends near the 100 building at 404 Witsell Street. At about 10:45 p.m. a white car drove by and fired shots.

The victim, 24-year-old Leon Dristen Elliott, was hit in his lower left leg and proceeded to check himself into the hospital.

Police found no evidence after searching the crime scene.
